The task
- Build the second version of the Evrotrans store we originally developed: one platform for selling auto parts, maintaining the catalogue and processing orders.
- Make it easy to find parts by name, OEM number, vehicle make, model and year, with a clear experience on mobile.
- Bring language and regional versions into one system, with coordinated domains, content and technical SEO.
- Tailor administration to the team’s daily work: products, donor vehicles, stock, orders, invoices, shipping, returns and customer rewards.
- Use AI for photo processing and category translation, while keeping staff in control of published information.
Our solution
- Node.js architecture. We built a Next.js and React storefront, a Vendure commerce backend and Payload CMS for content. Search runs through a dedicated Meilisearch index.
- 19 language and regional versions. A shared catalogue serves domains for Latvia and European markets, including separate regional versions for Austria and Belgium.
- Search designed for auto parts. OEM code handling, category trees, vehicle selection and links between parts and donor vehicles help customers navigate the catalogue.
- Tools for the team. We extended product and order lists, donor vehicle records, sales reports, PDF invoices, shipping labels and returns workflows.
- AI from photos to product drafts. The system groups photos, suggests a category and reads possible OEM numbers. A member of staff reviews the draft and price before publication. A separate AI tool helps translate category names.
- Payments, shipping and after-sales support. We integrated Stripe, Klix and bank transfers, carrier APIs, customer accounts and the EVRO PLUS rewards programme.
- Performance and SEO. Dedicated search, background jobs, caching and image optimisation, together with domain-specific canonical URLs, hreflang, structured data and redirects from legacy addresses.
The result. Evrotrans gained a new commerce platform that connects the customer’s purchase journey with the team’s daily work. The store, content, catalogue, orders and AI tools form a shared system that can continue to develop around the company’s processes.
