# Do AI assistants know your business?

More and more people look for services by asking ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini. Check for free what those assistants answer about your website.

Check your website

## Why this matters

When someone searches Google, they get a list of links. When someone asks an AI assistant the same thing, they get a single answer — and your business is either in it or it isn’t.

Unlike Google, there is no second page of results here. If an assistant knows nothing about you, or describes you incorrectly, the customer will most likely never find out.

This tool shows two things: whether AI crawlers can read your website at all, and what four widely used AI assistants currently answer when asked about your domain.

## How it works

1. Enter your website address. First we check the technical side — whether robots.txt blocks AI crawlers, whether your content is visible without JavaScript, and whether you have structured data and an llms.txt file.
2. Then we ask the same question — “what is your domain?” — to four AI assistants that search the web in real time.
3. We compare their answers with what your website actually says, and show which ones know you, which don’t, and which describe you incorrectly.

## What the tool checks

**Technical readiness** — can AI read your page at all:

- whether robots.txt blocks AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others)
- whether content is visible without JavaScript — many modern sites are empty to an AI crawler
- whether structured data is present (Organization / LocalBusiness markup) and links to social profiles
- whether there is an llms.txt file, headings, meta description, sitemap and a declared page language

**Recognition** — what AI assistants say about you:

- whether each assistant knows your business, knows it vaguely, or not at all
- whether it cites your website as a source
- whether any of them states something incorrect about you — usually the most useful finding

## Frequently asked questions

### Is this the same answer I would see in ChatGPT?

Not exactly. We use each provider’s API with web search rather than the consumer interface, and answers vary between runs. The result is a good approximation, not an exact copy. There is also no API for the consumer version of ChatGPT — which is why we label it “ChatGPT-class model” rather than “ChatGPT”.

### Why does the result differ slightly each time?

Because language models are not deterministic and search results change. Treat a single day’s result as a snapshot rather than an exact measurement. That is also why we keep the result for 30 days — so you can see the change over time.

### Can I check a competitor’s website?

Yes — the tool works with any public address.

### What does it cost?

The tool is free.
